EYE DAHLIA photographs by Anita Katrina Images
EYE DAHLIA

Follow the growth cycle from dormant tubers, sprouts, blooms and seed collection from the enchanting world of Dahlias. Grown over one season from September to March, in the temperate climate of the top of the South Island in Aotearoa, New Zealand.

Each Triptych shows the true cycle of a single generation of Dahlia from its tuber before planing, flowering blooms and wilted heads.
The Bloom series displays the playful characters of individual flowers and unique passage as the petals move through their life cycle. Creatures were not evicted where possible and encouraged to continue the organic journey.
